The cost is $35.00 per person for club members and $41.00 for non-club members. Rena Sartin will be collecting the money and the forms. The deadline will be November 27, 2017 to submit to the Country Club.

The party will be held on December 4, 2017 at 6:30 pm at the Falcon Point Country Club at 24503 Falcon Point Drive, Katy, Texas 77494. It is located off Kingsland Drive behind Katy Mills Mall going eastbound. Christmas Attire!

If you have something to donate for our door prizes, please bring them to the next meeting in November. Last year was a great year for the gifts and we would love a repeat! Homemade items were wonderful and very appreciated. Please bring them wrapped.

Also, everyone bring a small wrapped/bagged Christmas ornament for the Exchange Game!! It will be different this year but just as much fun. You can bring that on the night of the party!!   Looking forward to a fun fellowship of our great members!

Below is a list of the tours currently scheduled for this year.  Included is the name of the host for the tour and the proposed activity.  Most of the dates are still to be confirmed and updates will be provided in our meetings and in this newsletter.  Please note the additional tour ideas for this year.

Second Sunny-Sunday Sonic:

Every second Sunday of each month when it is sunny (i.e., weather permitting) Katy Cruizers members meet at the SONIC Drive-In on Westheimer in Katy (near the Target store) at 2:00 pm for vittles, varoooom, mirth, and merriment.  After stuffing ourselves on discounted* calories, some of us cruise our old-timey prizes around town in single file, through George Bush park or other local places creating a scene to the appreciation of others who like ancient iron.

* Here is the “clue” on how to get discounted food at Sonic:

They asked that when ordering (if we want to get the discount at 2 pm) that we order our food and drinks separately.  This way, both food and drinks will be each discounted 50%.  If we don’t order them separately, it’s likely that only the drinks will be discounted.

2017 Second Sunny-Sunday Sonic cruise dates are:

August 13

September 10

October 8

November 12

December 10

Soooo, if you are not yet a member of Katy Cruizers but would like to see some really neat old cars, come over to Sonic and let’s share stories.

We’re still accepting photos of your antique/classic car for the Katy Cruizers’ photo contest – the deadline is November 1st.
The contest is open to all members (see rules below). Katy Cruizers membership will have an opportunity to vote on their favorite photo in November. First, second and third place winners will be announced at the Christmas Party in December.

• Your antique or classic car must be in the photo (currently owned or previously owned). If you own more than one antique/classic car, multiple cars are acceptable in the photo.
• You may submit as many photos to the newsletter as you would like between now and December, however, by November you must decide which “single” photo you would like the membership to consider when they vote.
• Creativity is encouraged.
• Photos can be submitted at any time to Rick Mock for publication in the newsletter.
• Your final entry for the contest must be submitted to Mike Stone no later than midnight on November 1st.

Remember – we’ll be voting on the “overall photo” rather than the car – so creativity counts!
Good Luck!
